Being a substitute teacher and paraprofessional for the last year has shown me the passion I have for students; to watch them grow and develop. As a basketball coach over the last 12 years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with student athletes, to help them excel and succeed, not only in basketball, but also in everyday life situations. With that knowledge and understanding, I have furthered my passion for teaching as a Special Education Teacher and team member with students, parents and the staff of the Challis School District.
Along with being the Special Education Teacher at the elementary school, I also have the privilege of coaching student athletes as the Girls High School Head Varsity Basketball coach.
Prior to teaching for Challis Elementary, I worked as a recruiter for St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho.
I love going home with a big smile on my face knowing that I have made a difference.
